La vinicultura española está viviendo una profunda renovación y re- valorización. La proliferación de nuevas bodegas que se suman a las ya clásicas está suponiendo un fenómeno extraordinario. Por un lado, la mejora en la calidad de los caldos, y, por otro, sucede una revisión en la estrategia productiva y comercial. En paralelo, y para apoyar este cambio, se ha producido un fenómeno singular, la creación en pocos años de decenas de nuevas bodegas o la renovación de las existentes. Destacados arquitectos, nacionales e internacionales, han hecho sus propuestas con gran libertad expresiva. El resultado es una auténtica ruta arquitecto-vinícola que resigue las principales geografías bodegue- ras del país. Un rosario de obras maestras a menudo visitables y que suelen ofrecer restauración e incluso hospedería.
The Spanish wine industry is undergoing profound renovation and re–evaluation. The proliferation of new wineries, in addition to the already classic ones, is an extraordinary phenomenon. On one hand there is the improvement in the wines themselves and on the other there has been a reconsideration of the productive and marketing strategies. In parallel with this, and in support of this change, there has been a remarkable phenomenon, the creation, within only a few years, of dozens of new wineries and the refurbishment of existing ones. Outstanding Spanish and international architects have made their proposals with great liberty of expression. What has emerged as a result of all this is a veri- table wine-cum-architecture trail that wends its way through the main wine-producing areas of the country, making up a succession of master works that can often be visited and which often provide a restaurant service and even accommodation.
