Colegio de San Gregorio
El Colegio de San Gregorio fue construido a finales del siglo xv como escuela de teología para la entonces poderosa orden de los monjes do­ minicos. Desde la portada tallada en piedra hasta el patio de dos alturas conectadas por una monumental escalera, pasando por las delicadas filigranas de los arcos del piso superior, toda su arquitectura resulta fas­ cinante. Las salas de exposición están cubiertas por magníficos techos artesonados y el conjunto se completa con una capilla y un jardín.
The Colegio de San Gregorio was built in the late fifteenth century as a school of theology for the then powerful order of Dominican monks. The architecture of the entire building – from the façade carved in stone to the courtyard at two heights connected by a monumental staircase, not to mention the delicate filigrees of the arches on the upper floor – is fascinating. The exhibition halls have superb coffered ceilings and the ensemble is completed by a chapel and a garden.
