Ocular Spectra
“The fleetingness of physiological colours led Boyle to call them colours adventicii, Rizetti imaginarii and phantastici; Buffon couleurs accidentelles and Scherffer apparent colours; some describe them as optical illusion and visual deceit; Hamberger calls them vitia fuggitiva, and Darwin ocular spectra.”
This condition both real and unreal is what allows me to invent a presence that materialises and fades away simultaneously, making its physical and chromatic existence only a suspended, vibrant, epidermal and cosmetic reality.
