AC/E digital culture ANNUAL REPORT 2014On the other hand, each year AC/E will analyse the impact the Internet is having on a specific cultural sector in order to gain a deeper knowledge of what is happening there. This first Annual Report focuses on the world of the performing arts (theatre, opera, dance, ballet, etc.). We have analysed the incorpora‐ tion of new technologies in many fields within these disciplines, from production and promotion to crea‐ tion, stage setting, distribution and so forth. To do this we have identified and studied successful cases and examples of good practice in Spain and abroad, the better to help those working in the performing arts to realise the possibilities the new technologies can offer their organisations and appreciate the im‐ portance of giving digital trends due consideration over the coming years. The AC/E Annual Report aspires to become a perma‐ nent consultation and reference manual for cultural administrators who wish to discover the advantages the new technologies can offer to the world of cultu‐ re. To facilitate access and consultation it is being published under a Creative Commons license that allows readers to copy and distribute it by any means, as long as the authors and the AC/E are cre‐ dited, no commercial use is made of the work, and no modifications are made to it.AC/E DIGITAL CULTURE ANNUAL REPORTINTRODUCTIONAC/E Elvira Marco,AC/E General ManagerJavier Celaya,Director, AC/E Digital Culture Annual Report 2014CURRENT PAGE...4
