Bernardí Roig - The light-exercises series (eBook)

The Majorcan Bernardí Roig is a Spanish artist who has garnered a lot of international attention over recent years. His redolent and provocative body of work has made him one of the most representative players in the current renewal of the visual arts, and of the very concept and function of art creation at present. Loyal to the conceptual versatility so highly cherished by many artists since the outbreak of the avant-gardes, Roig makes use of a wide variety of materials to create sculptures, drawings and videos constantly alluding to memory, light and symbols. The quest for new gazes over the tensions of contemporary perception finds its utmost expression in his creations over the last ten years, some of which are on view in this exhibition titled The Light-Exercises Series.
