The Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE) is the strategic line of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) designed to boost the presence of the Spanish creative sector abroad. This programme facilitates the inclusion of Spanish artists, creators, and professionals—or those resident in Spain—in the programming of leading international cultural events and projects.
PICE is based on a co-financing regime with the beneficiary entities. Its call for applications is open and continuous, with periodic resolutions throughout the year.
The programme covers a wide plurality of disciplines:
Architecture and Design.
Visual Arts.
Film, Video Games, and Animation.
Dance, Circus, and Theatre.
Literature, Comics, and Illustration.
Music.
Podcasts and digital audio with a cultural basis.
The programme is structured into three specific lines, each with a defined applicant profile:

The MOBILITY programme aims to support the capacity of the cultural sector and its creative industries to operate internationally by promoting the circulation of works, productions, and professionals. To this end, AC/E provides a financial incentive to foreign entities to include Spanish or Spain-based artists and creators in their programmes, covering travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses. This category prioritizes emerging proposals that require international projection and reflect the plurality of current culture.
The purpose of the Visitors Grants of the AC/E Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE) is to facilitate the presence in Spain of prestigious international influencers, agents, professionals and programmers in the fields of the arts and culture, so that they can enjoy first-hand experience of various areas of Spain’s cultural and creative sector and establish direct and personal relations.
The RESIDENCIES programme incentivizes cultural entities to incorporate Spanish or Spain-based artists and creators into their residency programmes to enhance their training, research, and international networks. Applications are managed by Spanish entities that organize residency programmes in a face-to-face format, with a maximum duration of one year per call. It is important to note that these are residency programmes and should not be confused with scholarships or study grants.
