The Early Music Guild of Seattle is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes music from the Middle Ages to the eighteenth century in its community through shows, concerts and an educational programme.
Jordi Savalland his well-known Hesperion XXI have been invited by this institution to join forces with Mexican folklore through Tembembe Ensamble Continuo in order to present Folias Antiguas y Criollas: From the Ancient World to the New World at Seattle Town Hall. A special guest artist, Andrew Lawrence King,will complete the group of seven musicians who will perform pieces by Diego Ortiz, Pedro Guerrero Moresca and Código Trujillo, as well as colonial music and folk music from all over South America.
AC/E is collaborating with the Early Music Guild of Seattle through the mobility programme of the PICE by supporting the participation of Jordi Savall and Hesperion XXI.
