The Spanish artists Alfonso Borragán and Carlos Gómez have been selected for a residency at FLORA Ars+Natura as part of the Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture, PICE. The project they are developing, called Médula Líquida, is based on a series of tours through various villages on the banks of the river Magdalena. It consists of a downstream journey to Honda. At the stop-offs along the way workshops will be held with the riverside inhabitants on games, myths and cultural practices associated with the river. In Honda the artists will spend two weeks in residence to process the material gathered along the route and to hold a workshops in relation to the sound and image of the river at the Museo del Río Magdalena. Finally, in Bogota, an exhibition at Casa FLORA’s Archivo Audible will display the results of the journeys and the artists will give a talk together with José Roca, artistic director of FLORA.
