The Spanish filmmaker Yolanda Barrasa, a specialist in screenplay analysis, consultancy, writing and teaching, is taking part in the 2014 workshop with the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española through the PICE mobility grants.
The university currently has 120 students. Several of the films made by them have won international awards at festivals and events such as the Festival de Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano of Havana, the Festival Ícaro (Guatemala), and the San José International Film Festival (Costa Rica). Many have also been selected for screening in the official selection of festivals such as Toulouse, Flanders, Henri Langlois, Viña del Mar, Lakino, Cinema Jove and FICUNAM (Mexico).
