Writers' Residency at Les Récollets Paris 2019 - Javier Serena

Javier Serena is the writer selected by the jury to enjoy this residence at the Les Récollets Center in Paris. During his three-month stay, between September and November 2019, he will be able to carry out his work in the old convent of Les Récollets, a reception center with a European and global vocation for artists, researchers, intellectuals and university students.

Javier Serena is a journalist and writer. His latest published books are the novels "Atila. Un escritor indescifrable" (Tropo Editores, 2014), and "Últimas palabras en la Tierra" (Gadir, 2017).

The programme is organized by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), the French Embassy / French Institute in Spain and the Marie de Paris, with the support and participation of the Student Residence in Madrid and the Les Récollets Center in Paris for the promotion of the exchange of French and Spanish writers. In addition, this programme aims to create collaborative networks, promote the mobility of national creators abroad, encourage creative production through the offer of residences for creators and strengthen the links between cultural institutions in France and Spain.
