Programme-wise, the festival consists of two sections: a ‘Home/Domestic’ section and an ‘International’ section. Writers of many different countries have appeared in the latter, including authors from Scotland, France, Canada, Ukraine, and others. In 2016, the international Guest of Honour to be the Kingdom of Spain. So 31 Spanish writers, thinkers, intellectuals will appear in the five cities of the abovementioned four Central European countries. 31 local authors will accompany them.
AC/E supports the participation of the following writers whose literary tour will last five days, starting in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, and continuing to Wroclaw, Poland, the European Capital for Culture in 2016. The next day, the writer will return to the Czech Republic, performing in Ostrava, the black heart of Europe, and then continue to Košice in the Eastern part of Slovakia. The tour will culminate in Lviv, Ukraine, the centre of the formerly Habsburg Galicia.
