AC/E is supporting the second Ópera de Tenerife International Singing Competition through the PICE / Visitors programme by facilitating the participation of international experts Hein Mulders (Intendant, AALTO Musiktheater, and Philarmonie Essen, Germany) and Maria Angélica Ojeda (Executive manager, director general and creator of the Festival Internacional de Ópera Laguna Mágica, San Pedro de la Paz, Chile)as jury members.
As on previous occasions, Ópera de Tenerife has managed to bring together as panel members of the 2nd Singing Competition a select group of first-rate professionals with strategic decision-making responsibilities in the international opera sector who have the power to hire singers for their respective seasons. Competitors thus have the chance to be auditioned jointly by this panel of experts along with a large number of international candidates, and this provides Spanish singers with an interesting opportunity.
The winner will take part in the programme of the 2015 and 2016 season at Tenerife’s opera house, which features operas coproduced with other national and international theatres that can also provide the chosen singers with the chance to perform on these new stages.
