ARCOmadrid, Spain's International Contemporary Art Fair, celebrates its 45th edition from March 4 to 8, 2026. Established as one of the main platforms for the global art market, the fair will once again turn Madrid into the epicenter of reflection, creation, and cultural exchange, bringing together more than 250 international galleries.
ARCO2045: The Future for Now
To mark its 45th anniversary, this edition includes a special section curated by José Luis Blondet and Magalí Arriola titled "ARCO2045: The Future for Now." Located in halls 7 and 9 of IFEMA, this proposal invites professionals and visitors to reflect on tentative art languages and glimpse new creative horizons for the coming decades.
AC/E's Commitment to Internationalization
Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) maintains its strategic support for the fair with the aim of stimulating intercultural dialogue and boosting the visibility of Spanish artists abroad. AC/E's collaboration in ARCOmadrid 2026 focuses on professionalization and network building through two fundamental axes:
International Guest Program: AC/E collaborates in organizing the visit of more than 130 curators, museum directors, and critics from around the world. The goal is to foster direct interaction with the Spanish art scene and facilitate the promotion of our talent.
Museum Program: In this edition, the program will feature prominent figures such as Hiuwau Chu (MACBA, Barcelona), Semíramis González (La Laboral, Gijón), and Blanca de la Torre (IVAM, Valencia), who will participate in meetings designed to strengthen links between national and international institutions.
Networking and Professional Agendas
Beyond financial support, AC/E actively participates in designing personalized agendas for guest professionals, tailoring them to their specific profiles and interests. This mediation work ensures that encounters with Spanish artists and art centers are productive and lead to long-term collaborations. Additionally, exclusive meetings will be organized in the Boardroom (Sala Consejo) at IFEMA to deepen the debate on current cultural management.
