Valencia World Design Capital 2022 is promoted by the Associació València Capital del Disseny and includes an extensive program that runs from January 1, 2022, to April 1, 2023, in the city of Valencia, as well as in other locations of the Valencian Community. This great event aims to promote and value the quality of this creative sector, making it the main agent of social change and urban innovation with initiatives that project design, generating a legacy capable of transcending and establishing itself as a key value of the local social fabric and national.
Acción Cultural Española collaborates by organizing the Internationalization of Design conference. How to make yourself known in the world?, on September 29, at 10:30 at Plató The Sea, World Design Capital Valencia 2022, Edificio Veles & Vents de La Marina de Valencia.
During this conference, different aspects of the AC/E MOBILITY Programme will be reflected upon, the objective of which is to support the capacity of the cultural sector and its creative industries to operate at an international level, promoting the circulation and mobility of works, productions, artists, creators, cultural and creative agents and professionals.
The objectives of Valencia World Design Capital 2022 are:
> Promote Spanish design —and especially Valencian— at an international level.
> Social transformation. Create, activate and facilitate links and collaborations between the ecosystem of design and innovation, as well as establish stable contacts with other disciplines or economic, social and cultural sectors that transform society in the long term.
> Internationalization. Promote Spanish design, its professionals and companies, internationally. It has even inspired other cities to use design as a strategic tool to grow and prosper and generate an international network of cities that share the best practices in innovative design.
> Wellness. Help and accompany the creation of strategies around design to contribute to sustainable and inclusive development of the territory, improving the level of well-being and quality of life of citizens.
> Story and territorial structure. Generate a joint account of the three provinces of the Valencian Community around creativity and design, positioning ourselves as a national focus.
> Reinforcement of the professional network. Strengthen the relationship between all professionals at the national level and improve the professional implementation of the design sector in society.
> Legacy. Ensuring that a design legacy flourishes in the designated city that continues and endures after the Design Capital twelve months concludes.
