During June and July 2026, the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada is celebrating a major double milestone: its 75th edition and the 150th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant composer Manuel de Falla, a highly significant tribute that has been officially declared an "Event of Exceptional Public Interest".
Organized by the festival itself with the support and collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), this program brings the stages of the Alhambra and the Generalife to life with more than a hundred activities ranging from classical music and ballet to flamenco and jazz.
Our work in this project focuses on the active promotion and preservation of this valuable musical heritage. Most notably, your collaboration makes two of the highlight moments of this edition possible: the grand world premiere of the first version of La vida breve by Manuel de Falla—taking place on July 10, 2026, at 10:00 PM at the stunning Palacio de Carlos V—and the release of the 2002-2026 commemorative publication, which will look back at the recent history of the festival and will be presented at the end of the year.
With this momentum, we help connect the artistic memory of Manuel de Falla with new audiences and contemporary creation, ensuring that our music and cultural roots continue to resonate strongly all over the world.
