The 2025 Mexico City International Artistic Residencies Program is organized by AC/E in collaboration with the María José Jove Foundation Art Center (FMJJ). This initiative aims to foster cultural exchange and contemporary artistic production, offering a six-week residency (November - first half of December 2025) at Fundación Marso in Mexico City , to two Spanish artists.
The program's main objectives are to promote research, contemporary creation, and the professional development of artists , as well as to foster collaboration and cultural exchange between Spain and Latin America. Additionally, it seeks to promote artistic projects that enrich the interrelationship between artistic practice, critical thinking, and social participation , and to generate collaborative networks that strengthen the cultural link between both countries.
This call is aimed at Spanish artists dedicated to contemporary artistic practices in any of their disciplines: visual arts, performance, installation, audiovisual, new media, or artistic research. Applicants must be interested in developing new proposals or projects under investigation during their stay in Mexico City.
Each selected artist will receive an economic endowment that includes 1,500 euros (or its equivalent in pesos) for living expenses and 1,500 euros for production costs. In addition, travel expenses from Spain to Mexico (tourist class) will be covered , and travel medical insurance will be provided if the applicant does not have their own coverage. The residency also includes accommodation and an adequate workspace at Fundación Marso in Mexico City , assistance and accompaniment during the project's development , and dissemination and public presentation of the project.
