Hay Festival Querétaro 2026 (11th Edition)

From September 4 to 6, 2026, Querétaro (Mexico) hosts the 11th edition of Hay Festival Querétaro, a space for connection, dialogue, and critical thinking celebrating the arts and sciences through talks, workshops, and readings. Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) collaborates with this major cultural event by supporting the participation of prominent Spanish authors and illustrators in its program.

Participants supported by AC/E:

Manuel Marsol: One of the most recognized figures in contemporary picture book illustration and winner of the Bologna Children's Book Fair International Award for Illustration.

Gustavo Puerta Leisse: Editor, educator, and author specializing in children's literature, awarded at the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava and the BolognaRagazzi Award.

Marta Jiménez Serrano: A leading voice in contemporary Spanish narrative, author of Los nombres propios and No todo el mundo.

Cristina Monge: Political scientist, essayist, and researcher specializing in democratic quality, governance, and civic participation.
