Mayte Gómez Molina | Malba Writers' Residency (REM) 2026

The selected resident for this edition is Mayte Gómez Molina (1993), a writer, researcher, and new media artist who uses writing as the backbone of a plural practice. Her work stands out for expanding literature into digital formats such as 3D film and virtual reality, as well as for a solid career in traditional poetry and fiction.

Key Career Milestones:

Miguel Hernández National Youth Poetry Award (2023) for her book Los Trabajos sin Hércules.

Author of Circuito Cerrado de Vigilancia (2024, Editorial Cielo Santo), which explores the challenges of living with an analog body in a digitalized and hyper-connected world.

Her first novel, "La boca llena de trigo", will be published on March 4, 2026, by Editorial Anagrama.

Fulbright Scholar (2019-2021) and Master in Film, Video, New Media, and Animation from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

She currently teaches at the Institute of Art Gender Nature in Basel (Switzerland).
