Under the slogan "Culture for everything," PÚBLICA 26 celebrates its sixteenth edition as the leading international event for cultural professionals. This meeting, designed to share experiences and explore collaboration opportunities, reaffirms its position as an essential platform for strengthening and professionalizing the sector in Spain and Ibero-America. Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) renews its commitment to the cultural fabric by actively collaborating in this new call.
Culture for everything: The value of the intangible
This year's program raises fundamental questions for the sector: How can we measure the impact of culture? How can we balance economic profitability with its intangible value? Through presentations, debates, and workshops, PÚBLICA 26 will analyze the role of culture in Europe—addressing international cooperation and the legacy of European Capitals of Culture—and will focus on rural and peripheral initiatives that are currently redrawing the contemporary cultural map.
Participation of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E)
Within the framework of its collaboration with Fundación Contemporánea, AC/E organizes and leads strategic activities aimed at knowledge exchange and network strengthening:
Expert Committee: Under the title "How to plan international cultural action in turbulent times?", this closed-door debate space will bring together ten experts to reflect on culture as a strategic asset in scenarios of uncertainty and reconstruction.
Networking "A beer with...": AC/E will act as host in this informal activity designed for professionals to exchange ideas and conclusions on real cases in an atmosphere of trust and proximity.
Support for creators: AC/E will provide 20 invitations to the professional sessions to be distributed among its pool of creators and collaborators, facilitating access for new talent.
A collaborative ecosystem
Organized by Fundación Contemporánea, the meeting is supported by a wide network of public and private institutions, embassies, and international organizations. With an increasingly younger audience and a strong presence from the private cultural sector, PÚBLICA 26 is defined as an open and experimental space where networking is the engine for building the future of the industry from a critical perspective.
