The STC with the support of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) present the first annual season dedicated to new Spanish writing. The Cervantes Theatre was created as a platform to showcase the best Spanish talent and what better way than to create this season of New Spanish Writing. The season will feature a series of dramatized readings and a full production. Paco Bezerra, Carolina África Martín, Marta Buchaca y Guillem Clua are the playwrights that will to open this I Season of New Spanish Playwriting.

It is the proud creation of the Spanish Theatre Company (STC), a charity which aims to bring the best Spanish and Latin American theatre to London and to British audiences, thereby promoting Spanish language dramatic arts. The theatre will stage a combination of STC productions and performances of Spanish and Latin American plays from other theatre companies.

It also develops productions for schools. Through its bilingual programming, STC encourages Spanish/Latin American/British cultural exchange. It is becoming a reference point in London for Spanish-speaking culture and heritage.
