Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), the Embassy of France in Spain, and the Mairie de Paris—with the support of the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid and the Cité des Arts—are now accepting applications for this literary exchange program.
This call aims to promote the mobility of national authors, foster creative production in a multidisciplinary environment, and strengthen cultural ties between France and Spain.
The Residency: Key Details
Location: Cité des Arts, Paris.
Period: From January 5 to February 26, 2027 (dates subject to slight variations).
Profile: Writers (over 18 years old) residing in Spain with an established literary career and proficiency in the French language.
What the Program Offers
Grant: A stipend of €3,000 (€1,500/month) provided by the Mairie de Paris to cover accommodation, living expenses, and production costs.
Accommodation: Individual apartment (including kitchen and workspace) at the Cité des Arts. The accommodation cost (approx. €640/month) will be paid directly by the resident.
Travel: Round-trip travel from the resident's city of residence in Spain to Paris.
Networking: Support for connecting with other local creators and access to the cultural resources of the city of Paris.
Eligibility Requirements
Spanish nationals or foreign residents in Spain with a valid NIE.
Must have published at least one work with a professional publishing house.
Must have a literary project in progress (novel, essay, poetry, play, etc.) that justifies a stay in Paris.
Commitment to remain in Paris for the entire duration of the residency.
