danceWEB Europe is a program that provides opportunities for all participants to question and redefine its relations with themselves, art and society, in an entertaining way. The danceWEB Europe Scholarship Programme consists of a 5-week residency summer that takes place every year between July-August in Vienna within the framework of the ImPulsTanz festival.
The Scholarship Programme has annually 50 young professional dancers and choreographers in Europe and elsewhere, offering them the opportunity to participate in a project of intense training and international specialists. It focuses on the exchange of ideas and knowledge. It is a meeting with internationally renowned artists who meet in Vienna ImPulsTanz with the aim of guiding the careers of the participants.
To achieve its two educational and artistic goals, the Scholarship Programme is monitored each year for artistic coach selected amongst dance personalities who have played a decisive role internationally in the development of contemporary dance in recent years. More than 650 young professional dancers and choreographers from over 70 countries have taken part in this program since its inception in 1996.
AC/E is collaborating this year to support the Spanish dancers, selected to receive these grants, Tamara Alegre and Pepa Ubera.
