During the days of February 21 to 25, the International Contemporary Art Fair is celebrated once again, a show that does not leave its visitors indifferent with its way of showing the vanguards, contemporary classics and contemporary art. ARCO is a destination for all those professionals of contemporary art, where critics, galleries, curators and positions of art institutions and other professionals meet. The Contemporary Art fair is divided into three days 23, 24 and 25 February. Where all art lovers can get the most out of their visit, creating a unique environment to discover daring bets.
This edition presents a new section “What is going to happen is not “the future”, but what we are going to do”: the aim of the curators Chus Martínez, Elise Lammer and Rosa Lleó in their selection of galleries will be to turn ARCOmadrid 2018 into a “place that allows us to imagine, produce and propose a view of the complexity that awaits us”.
The Fair will once again host 30 museum representatives and directors within the Museum Work Session, co-organized by AC/E, ADACE, EUNIC and Hablarenarte. During the Fair, Diálogos will be held, where selected galleries present works by two artists with an interrelation specially conceived for ARCOmadrid.
Following the success of previous editions, the Professional Meetings are consolidated as a place of exchange for curators and art experts from around the world. Reserved for professionals and only by invitation, these platforms of discussion provide an opportunity to share reflections, to exchange experiences and to project new proposals.
The Dialogues presents in galleries selected by María de Corral, Lorena Martínez de Corral and Catalina Lozano the works of two artists with a connection conceived especially for ARCOmadrid.
