Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and the WIELS Contemporary Art Centre in Brussels are opening a call for applications for a Spanish artist or resident in Spain to participate in its prestigious international residency programme.
This collaboration aims to promote the mobility of our creators, foster artistic production, and strengthen links with leading international institutions.

Grants and Benefits
The selected resident will receive a comprehensive grant that includes:
Travel: Round-trip travel to Brussels.
Studio: Individual workspace of 40 m² at the WIELS headquarters.
Accommodation: Equipped individual apartment near the centre, including expenses (electricity, water, heating, and internet).
Financial Stipend: €1,000 per month for living expenses and production support.
Mentorship: Weekly tutorials with artists and programme mentors, visits from curators and critics, and a covered field trip.
Visibility: Public presentation of the project and inclusion in the WIELS web archive.
Participant Requirements
The call is open to creators from any artistic discipline seeking to develop their practice in a professional context of experimentation and reflection. Both emerging profiles and established careers looking to reorient their creative process or initiate innovative research will be considered. Candidates must have participated in several exhibitions and cannot be students.
