The artist selected for this 2026 residency is Marina González Guerreiro (Pontevedra, 1992), who will join the center during the first semester of 2026 to develop her research and production project.
González Guerreiro’s artistic practice stands out for its deep investigation into the subjectivization and re-signification of everyday objects. Through media such as sculpture, drawing, and painting, the artist creates installations that explore how major narratives are embedded in domestic settings. Her creative process is rooted in the accumulation of and experimentation with diverse materials—often precarious or recycled—seeking a precise balance between order and disorder, control and chance.
