Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and Domaine de Boisbuchet organize this research residency aimed at design and architecture professionals residing in Spain. The program allows selected creators to develop a research project at this international center of excellence located in southwest France.
Domaine de Boisbuchet is a research center surrounded by 150 hectares of protected nature, offering an exceptional environment for experimentation through its architectural park, its extensive library, and its international network of contacts.
Fuerza Mínima (Toni Llopis and Alejandro Seva) Fuerza Mínima is a research project focusing its practice on exploring how craftsmanship is in a process of transformation. By crossing trade and experimentation, they analyze the coexistence of traditional techniques and knowledge with new tools, materials, and sensibilities. Their work lies at the intersection of artisanal practice, research, and its relationship with other disciplines such as science, architecture, or anthropology.
Betiana Pavón A transdisciplinary artist, designer, teacher, and researcher. Her practice is situated at the intersection of bio-art, digital fabrication, and living materials, developing a language where craftsmanship dialogues with innovation and environmental awareness. She explores biomaterials and organic waste as vehicles for morphological construction, opening a space for critical and poetic reflection on our relationship with nature, cycles of transformation, and possible futures.
The residency lasts six weeks, during which the residents live at Domaine de Boisbuchet. The program includes:
Support for travel and full board at the center.
Financial grant for basic expenses and a specific budget for the production of the research project.
Access to equipped workshops, studios, exhibition spaces, and the natural environment of the Domaine.
Mentoring and monitoring of the creative process.
Public presentation of the results and visibility through Boisbuchet's international network.
The program aims to promote the professionalization of emerging designers and architects, providing access to technical resources and international networks. The selection of residents is carried out through a public call based on the quality of previous work and the potential of the specific research proposal for the context of Boisbuchet.
Location: Domaine de Boisbuchet, Lessac (France).
Residency dates: May 25 to July 5, 2026.
Organization: Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and Domaine de Boisbuchet.
