Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and Domaine de Boisbuchet are launching a new open call for two Spanish (or Spanish-based) designers or architects to undertake a fully-funded research residency at this prestigious international center in southwest France.
Domaine de Boisbuchet is a world-renowned research center surrounded by 150 hectares of protected nature. It offers an exceptional environment for experimentation in architecture and design through its architectural park, vast library, and international professional network.

What the Residency Includes
The program provides comprehensive support so that residents can focus entirely on their creative process:
Travel: Economy return flights and train tickets to Poitiers (up to €600).
Stay: Accommodation and full-board meals for the entire 6-week duration.
Financial Support: €300 for basic living expenses and €1,200 for production costs.
Facilities: Access to fully equipped workshops, studios, exhibition spaces, and 150 hectares of forest and natural landscape.
Networking: Curatorial support, studio visits with critics and curators, and a public presentation/lecture of the project.
Visibility: Inclusion of the project on the official Domaine de Boisbuchet website.
Selection and Eligibility
The call is open to designers and architects working in all disciplines. Applicants must submit a specific research proposal tailored to the context of Boisbuchet and possess at least a moderate level of spoken English.
A selection committee, composed of the Head of Research at Boisbuchet and the Head of Design/Architecture at AC/E, will select the candidates based on the quality of their work and the potential of their project. Successful applicants will be notified on April 10, 2026.
