The concert brings together fourteen Spanish artists who will perform exquisite pieces composed by Spanish musicians such as Juan Hidalgo and Sebastián Durón and Italian composers who spent long periods in Aranjuez in the service of Spanish monarchs, including Domenico Scarlatti and Domingo Porretti.
The musicians taking part in the concert are Marta Almajano, Mariví Blasco, Eugenia Boix, Lina Tur Bonet, Josetxu Obregón, Dani Espasa, Daniel Zapico, Javier Somoza, and the group La Tempestad directed by Silvia Márquez, who is also musical director of the concert.
The concert is part of a project of the European Early Music Network (REMA), which coordinates the celebration throughout the continent. The network has 70 members, mostly early music festivals of 20 countries, such as the Aranjuez Early Music Festival, the 24th edition of which will take place from 6 May to 4 June.
