FMJJ residencies at Mexico City / Oaxaca 2026

Here is the structured text for the AC/E website translated into English, maintaining the official institutional tone required for international open calls:

International Artistic Residencies Programme Ciudad de México / Oaxaca 2026

The Centro de Arte Fundación María José Jove (FMJJ), in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), is pleased to announce the open call for the third edition of its International Artistic Residencies Programme.

This joint initiative aims to foster cultural exchange and contemporary artistic production between Spain and Latin America, facilitating the creation of collaborative networks and strengthening the international careers of Spanish creators within the global cultural landscape.

About the Residency

The programme offers a six-week residency (taking place between September and the first fortnight of October 2026) divided between Mexico City and Oaxaca for two artists of Spanish nationality.

The open call places a special emphasis on practices related to the textile field, understood as a space for material experimentation, the activation of cultural memories, and the articulation of contemporary discourses. Furthermore, it aims to boost artistic research from a situated perspective, supporting projects that explore the connections between art, territory, and community.

Host Institutions: Fundación Marso, Proyectos Públicos (Mexico City), and La Curtiduría Centro de Artes Visuales (Oaxaca).
