The Translation Grants programme organized by AC/E, of which this is its fourth edition, aims to contribute to the dissemination of our authors in the international market and promote the translation of Spanish literature within the framework of the Book Fair of Frankfurt 2022, when Spain will be the Guest of Honor Country.
This support for translation has proven to be an efficient tool for the external projection of our literature.
The program consists of the following lines:
> Line of promotion of the translation of complete works
> Line of promotion of the translation of anthologies
> Line of promotion of the illustration of translated books
The present conditions refer to the Line for the promotion of the translation of fragments, aimed at Spanish publishers and literary agents so that they translate extracts of literary works that are part of the Spanish written cultural heritage and prepare foreign promotion dossiers. The rest of the help will be published SOON
Deadlines: from May 10, 2022 at 00:00 (GMT+1) until 24:00 (GMT+1) on June 15.

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the most important in the world in this sector, where it is estimated that 80% of annual copyright contracts are negotiated, it constitutes an excellent opportunity for the promotion of Spanish titles in Germany and other strategic markets of interest for the Spanish publishing industry as the Anglo-Saxon, French or Italian. These grants are intended to take advantage of the amplifying impact that the Fair has.
Through initiatives like this, AC/E works to improve knowledge abroad of Spanish literature, which is experiencing one of the most interesting moments in its recent history.
