Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) collaborates with the Musée du Louvre on an ambitious cultural season dedicated to Spanish heritage and contemporary creation, organized on the occasion of the exhibitions on Zurbarán and polychrome sculpture from the Museo Nacional de Escultura de Valladolid in the Hall Napoléon.

With the exceptional support of Acción Cultural Española, the Musée du Louvre hosts a wide multidisciplinary program that brings together leading artists, creators, and thinkers from the contemporary Spanish scene in Paris. From September 25, 2026, to June 16, 2027, the museum presents a series spanning literature, film, music, performances, and talks in dialogue with the major exhibitions in the Hall Napoléon (October 7, 2026 – January 25, 2027).

The cultural program is structured around the following key pillars:

Theatre & Readings: An exceptional collaboration with the Comédie-Française, featuring a musical reading of Tirso de Molina's El burlador de Sevilla (Don Juan) on November 6, 2026, with live instrumental accompaniment in the Auditorium.

Film ("Carte Blanche to Rossy de Palma"): From October 9 to 18, 2026, the iconic actress curates a selection of ten essential Spanish films, opening with the inaugural performance ¡I Louvre Mucho!

Concerts ("Siglos de oro y sombra"): From October 7, 2026, to January 22, 2027, a cycle of five concerts exploring Spanish music from the Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary creation, featuring Cantoría, Arcángel with Quatuor Diotima, Tanguy de Williencourt, Jordi Savall with Hespèrion XXI, and Thibaut Garcia.

Talks & Conferences: Panel discussions and lectures linked to the exhibitions, including playwright Angélica Liddell ("El barroco en la sangre") on October 21, 2026, alongside key lectures by scholars Véronique Gerard Powell and Pascal Torres Guardiola.

Spain's Grand Weekend (December 8–13, 2026): A major multidisciplinary event held under the Louvre Pyramid and in the Auditorium, featuring:

An original flamenco creation by Israel Galván under the Pyramid (December 8).

A concert by neo-folk artist Rodrigo Cuevas (December 12).

Musical performances by Caamaño & Ameixeiras (December 11).

A live podcast recording of Las Hijas de Felipe (December 12).

A live broadcast of France Inter's On va déguster with François-Régis Gaudry and a special screening of Delirios de grandeza presented by Danièle Thompson and Guillaume Gallienne (December 13).

Family & Young Audiences: Educational performances such as "Dessine-moi un chef-d'œuvre: Un niño en la luz (Murillo's Young Beggar)" featuring Olivia Ruiz (October 24).
