Visiones Sonoras 2018. International Music and New Technologies Festival

The “Visiones Sonoras” festival has become consolidated as the most important festival of its kind in Latin America. It provides an area for learning and discussion on specific aspects of composition and performance of music featuring vanguard technology at the same time, in addition to creating links between artists and students, new audiences and new pieces of work.

AC/E is supporting Riccardo Massari’s residency, as a guest artist invited by the organisers of the festival. During his residency, before the festival kicks off, he will prepare a new composition specialising in multi channels and linked to the impermanence of organic states and the duration of materials, with these ideas being represented in the work “Butes” by Pascal Quignard, the Song of the Sirens and the instrumental music of Orpheus. This work, lasting approximately 25 to 30 minutes, will be presented at a concert during the festival.
