50th Anniversary of Hispania Nostra: Half a Century of Action Defending Cultural and Natural Heritage

Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) joins the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hispania Nostra (1976–2026), collaborating on an ambitious program of activities that marks five decades of continuous work in the protection, promotion, and dissemination of Spain's cultural and natural heritage.

Under the general title "50th Anniversary of Hispania Nostra: Half a Century of Action Defending Cultural and Natural Heritage," the association has designed a program including lecture series, legal seminars, and publications. AC/E is proud to support the following key milestones:

Featured Activities Supported by AC/E

Traveling Exhibition "50 Years of Hispania Nostra: 50 Years Committed to Heritage": This exhibition is showcased at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) throughout April and May 2026. Following its stay in the capital, the exhibition will begin a national tour across various locations in Spain to share this journey with the public.

International Congress "Economy and Heritage": A benchmark meeting taking place in November 2026 at CaixaForum Barcelona, where national and international experts will analyze the link between heritage management and economic development.

A Prestigious Institutional Recognition

The significance of this anniversary has been endorsed by the Congress of Deputies, which approved a Non-Legislative Motion (PNL) to officially join the commemoration. This exclusive and prestigious recognition highlights Hispania Nostra's half-century of labor, carried out in close collaboration with public institutions, private entities, and civil society.

For AC/E, this collaboration reinforces a long-standing commitment to an institution that has successfully placed heritage at the heart of social debate, encouraging active citizen participation in the conservation of our legacy.
