The Cervantes Institute, together with the Ministry of the Presidency, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Acción Cultural Española and the Autonomous Communities of the Canary Islands and Cantabria, and the collaboration of the Teatro Real, organizes a conference dedicated to Benito Pérez Galdós on the occasion of the centenary of his death.
The conference takes place in a series of multidisciplinary activities, from October 26 to November 11, which will take place in Madrid, Cantabria and the Canary Islands, the three significant places in the life of the writer. Round tables, conferences will be held and an exhibition on the Canarian author will be inaugurated at the Instituto Cervantes.
Finally, a gala on Galdós will be held on November 11 at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
