#MusaE The ninth edition of the MusaE. Music in State Museums series continues a cultural project that is increasingly established and appreciated on the musical scene of our country. Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and Acción Cultural Española, and curated by Juventudes Musicales de España, MusaE was born in 2015 with the aim of promoting the visibility of the musical talent of young musicians in our country, taking advantage of the unparalleled spaces offered by museums to perform and listen to music in a different environment than usual.
The 2025/2026 season of the MusaE program will tour the various state museums directly managed by the Ministry of Culture. In total, 45 concerts will be held, with an average of three performances per museum. Also on this occasion, a commitment has once again been made to launch an open call, so that musical groups and soloists of all styles, under 36 years of age and residing in Spain, can present programs specially designed for state museums.
The museums participating in this edition are: in Madrid, the National Archaeological Museum, National Museum of Anthropology, National Museum of Decorative Arts, Costume Museum, Cerralbo Museum, National Museum of Romanticism, and the Museum of the Americas; in other cities, the National Museum and Research Center of Altamira (Santillana del Mar), National Museum of Roman Art (Mérida), National Museum of Underwater Archaeology ARQVA (Cartagena), National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts “González Martí” (Valencia); El Greco Museum and Sephardic Museum (Toledo); as well as the National Sculpture Museum and the Cervantes House Museum (Valladolid).
As in previous editions, the MusaE program combines two formats of musical intervention: on the one hand, the conventional concert, and on the other, micro-concerts, short performances of approximately 10 minutes that are distributed throughout the day in different rooms of the museum, offering a sound experience integrated with the exhibition tour.
